Ingredients
Makes 12
🧁 1/2 cup water
🧁 1/2 cup oil
🧁 3/4 cup castor sugar
🧁 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
🧁 1 teaspoon baking powder
🧁 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
🧁 1/2 teaspoon salt
🧁 1/4 cup double thick yoghurt
🧁 1 1/2 cups of flour
🧁 1 egg
Method one bowl by hand:
1. Beat the egg with a whisk - add in sugar and combine. Pour in water and oil and mix together.
2. Add salt, vanilla essence, baking powder and soda and mix. Add yoghurt to combine then lastly mix in the flour.
3. Pour into cupcake liners and bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes or until done
American Buttercream
🧁 125g softened butter
🧁 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
🧁 3 cups of icing sugar
Method:
1. Combine all the ingredients and mix on the highest speed for 5 minutes until light and fluffy
2. Fill a piping bag with a nozzle of your choice and decorate as desired 💝
This recipe is really robust - you can add half a cup of literally anything you like, such as:
Chocolate chips
Nuts
Coconut
Funfetti sprinkles
